Working as self-employed has slowly but surely become a popular option for both independent and flexible work.
– What does it mean to be a self-employed and how does self-employment run compared to other forms of business?
A Self-Employed is a person who in practice works as a sole proprietor – but without having their own registered company or their own organization number.
The self-employed is instead connected to a so-called self-employment company – such as Invosy – which, for a percentage fee, handles the invoicing of the self-employed and which then also pays the salary of the self-employed after taxes and contributions have been deducted and paid correctly.
In other words, it is the self-employment company – which of course has both an organization number and a Swedish F-tax certificate – that hires the self-employed on a fixed-term basis and then pays regular tax and social security contributions and calculates and pays the correct net salary to the self-employed.
– It is the self-employment company that hires the self-employed person on a fixed-term basis and that pays taxes and social security contributions and pays wages to the self-employed.
• The self-employed person first carry out the work that has been agreed to with the client.
• The self-employed simply register their assignment with Invosy and create an invoice where the invoice amount agreed with the client is entered.
• Invosy sends the invoice to the client of the self-employed with an agreed due date.
• As soon as the invoice has been paid by the client, Invosy calculates both taxes and fees and then pays the remaining amount as salary to the self-employed.
• The self-employed do not have to think any further about those administrative duties that they otherwise would have had if they have had their own company – but are instead free to focus on their next assignments.
